Out with the old, in with the new. Thinking of replacing that old shirt of yours? How about a pair of watch you no longer use? There’s a vending machine that can help in disposing of your old stuff and even swap an item you may be interested in.
Meet the Swap-o-Matic, which helps people dispose of their old stuff and allows them to trade in for something that they may use in the future. New York-based designer Lina Fenequito created the vending machine, which will hopefully encourage people to dispose stuff they no longer need.
There’s a credit system on the Swap-o-Matic. Create an account by entering your e-mail and then earn credits by giving out stuff you no longer have use of. These credits will be the ones you’ll use in “buying” other stuff found on the vending machine. Overall, it’s a win-win situation as you not only dispose of your old things but also get something in return.
