Dexim Visible-G USB Cable Glows When Current Flows

Pimp my USB cable? Dexim has, and you're certain to get a charge out of it! The DWA065WL Universal USB Charge & Sync Cable employs integral blue LEDS that scroll, marquee style, along the path of your current connection.

The 80cm (32 inch) long cable features a universal USB connector at one end and a microUSB connector on the other. According to the ad copy, the cable is compatible with smartphones and mobile devices made by Blackberry, HTC, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson.

Apple isn't on the list, so blinging up your iPhone requires a similar (and similarly priced) lighted USB cable that can be purchased here. Both cables feature blue scrolling LED lighting that's easily visible by day and even more easily awesome by night. Check out this short video to see the DWA065WL Universal USB Charge & Sync Cable in action:

Just in case you're in love with the idea of “seeing” electrical current and/or digital data flowing through a cable, Sanwa also offers an AC adapter – a small box that attaches to your power bar or wall outlet and provides an inlet connector for the cable.

The DWA065WL Universal USB Charge & Sync Cable and it's iPhone & iPod friendly brother, model DWA063, are both priced at 1,980 yen (around $25.50) and are currently, ahem, being offered online at the Sanwa Direct website.
