Slingplayer Arrives on Amazon’s Kindle Fire Tablet

Sling Media created a dedicated Android application some time ago, but Amazon Kindle Fire owners were unable to use this to access Sling Media content from their tablet devices, due to the lack of an Android Market connection, until now.
Sling Media has today launched their new SlingPlayer application designed specifically for Amazon’s new Kindle Fire tablet. The new SlingPlayer application is now available to purchase from the Amazon App Store for $30. Providing you with access to both live and recorded TV.

The new SlingPlayer application allows owners to watch their home TV and DVR from anywhere directly from a Kindle Fire. When connected over 3G/4G or Wi-Fi to a Slingbox SOLO or PRO-HD, which are sold separately.
The new SlingPlayer app provides you with controls to change channels, control your DVR, and watch your favourite live and recorded shows right from your Kindle Fire tablet. Jump over to the Amazon App Store for more information and to purchase.
** SlingPlayer for Kindle Fire may work on certain Slingboxes prior to SOLO and PRO-HD, in certain configurations.
