Onkyo GX-W100HV WiFi DLNA Supported Active Speakers Unveiled

Onkyo has this week taken the wraps off its new GX-W100HV speakers which are equipped with both Wi-Fi and DLNA support. The master speaker of the pair is fitted with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and uses Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect to your router, to enable the WiFi features.
Once connected to your network the speakers can then use audio from any DLNA-capable app on your PC, phone, or tablet, and are able to render DRM-free MP3, AAC, or WAV files.

The new Onkyo GX-W100HV speakers have been design to output 15 watts per channel, and each cabinet is fitted with a 12cm A-OMF woofer and 3cm tweeter, that Onkyo claims has been specially tuned for voice audio.
On the master speaker of the set is a control panel that allows you to adjust the audio via a two band graphic equaliser, together with ports fort headphones and input selectors. The Onkyo GX-W100HV speakers are expected to launch in Japan on February 18th for around ¥40,000 about $520.
