We heard last month that references to the iPad 3 were discovered in the iOS 5.1 beta 3 and now it would appear that we could have a possible launch date for iOS 5.1.
The news comes from the guys over at Your Daily Mac who have discovered eleven new profiles for various iPhone operators, and the files are compatible with iOS 5.1 and are set to be released on the 9th of March.
This gives us a possible launch date of the 9th of March for iOS 5.1, although it could be some time later in March. Apple is reported to launch the iPad 3 in March, so we could possibly see iOS 5.1 launch at the same time.
Considering that the iPad 3 references were discovered in iOS 5.1 we suspect that the iPad 3 and iOS 5.1 will launch either the same day or possibly iOS 5.1 a couple of days before the iPad 3.
