Quad-Core HTC Endeavor Delight Awaits

There are two things on my mind lately: The upcoming Mobile World Congress 2012 andNvidia’s Tegra 3 chip expected to be in HTC’s next smartphone the HTC Edge, I mean HTC Endeavor – the world’s first quad-core phone. HTC EdgeHTC EdgeThe other thing on my mind is why HTC would suddenly change the code name from Edge to Endeavor per the people over at PocketNow.
It is difficult to wait for months at a time for new technology to emerge, with tirickles of information about technical specs but the time is growing near we will no longer have to wait. Soon HTC will unveil the first quad-core phone at WMC.  If the leaked specs are true, HTC Endevaor will sport Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 1080p HD video camera, 8 MP f/2.2 rear facing camera, 2 MP front facing camera, a 4.7 inch 720p HD screen, 4G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and 1,800 mAh battery. Talk about a hard core phone! That's a lot of power in your hand.

Obviously with HTC's latest acquisition the BeatsAudio Package will be loaded on the Endeavor just as it is on the HTC Rezound and presumably the Beats headphones will also be included.  If the HTC Edge ships with the latest Android 4.0 OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, as expected, this will be the phone to have in 2012.  Even Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak concedes in a recent interview that Android phones have advantages over the iPhone.
Currently Verizon Wireless is expected to be tHTC EdgeHTC Edgehe carrier of choice for the HTC Endeavor but whatever carrier is selected to carry this phone, the Endeavor is sure to attract many new and old customers. PocketNow also believes the retail name may be the HTC Supreme - time will tell.
Along with the HTC Endeavor phone, HTC will be revealing the HTC Ville at the MWC 2012. The Ville is headed to T-Mobile and will be running HTC’s new Sense 4.0 which may come as a disappointment to many readers but many improvements have been promised. No word if the Endeavor will also have Sense but one can hope.  So for now I wait and keep my eyes open for a cool looking phone abandoned in a bar somewhere that just happens to be the not-yet-released Edge or Endeavor or Supreme (whatever they call it).  Fingers crossed!
How about you? Are you excited about quad-core technology?
