Apple’s third generation iPad, the iPad 3 is expected to go on sale some time in March, and now it would appear that we may get some sort of official announcement from Apple on the iPad 3 early next month.
According to the guys from Macotakara, Apple will announce the iPad 3, along with the launch of iOS 5.1 in early February, although this has yet to be confirmed by Apple.
If the iPad 3 is going to go on sale in March then it would make sense for Apple to officially announced the tablet early next month, and out the device up for pre-order before its March launch.
We are expecting the iPad 3 to feature a similar design to the iPad 2, although we have heard the device may be about 1mm thicker, and we are also hoping that it will come with the much higher resolution display than the iPad 2.
We are also expecting the iPad 3 to feature a new processor, which will probably be the rumored A6 processor that we have been hearing about over the last few months.
As soon as we get some more information on when Apple plans to announce the iPad 3 we will let you guys know.
