HP has launched a new netbook computer that it is aiming at the professional and educational users out there. The machine is called the Mini 1104 and it will sell for $399. For that, much money you are getting your basic netbook that we are all used to.
The machine uses an Atom N2600 processor with a 1.6GHz clock speed. The chipset is the NM10 offering and the machine has 2GB of RAM inside. The LCD is a 10.1-inch unit with a resolution of 1024 x 600.
Graphics are handled by an Intel GMA3600 integrated GPU. The notebook has WiFi, optional HSPA+ wireless broadband and Bluetooth. The machine is available now. I don’t expect that this machine will sell in high volumes with the netbook on its way out.
