Absinthe A5 Jailbreak Installed On Nearly 1 Million iOS Devices


The Absinthe A5 untethered jailbreak was released for the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 on the weekend, it was initially available for the Mac and then released for Windows and now a new version has been released for Linux.
It looks like the jailbreak has become quite popular as it has been installed on almost one million iOS device since it was released just three days ago.

Of the devices jailbroken, 491,325 were the iPhone 4S, 308,967 were the iPad 2 and a further 152,940 devices were also iPad 2′s which had previously been jailbroken, making that a total of 953,232 iOS devices.
The Absinthe A5 jailbreaking tool has now been updated to version 0.3 which adds in support for Linux, making it now available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
