Pentax has added another compact camera to their line up with the launch of the Pentax Optio VS20, which is described as a pocket megazoom, and it features a 20z optical zoom lens with a range of 28mm to 560mm.
The Pentax Optio VS20 features a 16 megapixel CCD sensor, and the device comes with dual shutter buttons, on top of the camera you get a standard zoom control and shutter button, and on the side of the camera there is a secondary shutter release button and a zoom control.
The dual shutter buttons are designed to make it easier to take photos when you are holding the camera vertically or horizontally and the VS20 also comes with a secondary tripod mount on the side of the camera.
The Pentax Optio VS20 also comes with a 3 inch LCD display, and the device is capable of recording high definition video in 720p at 30 frames per second, plus it comes with a range of built in features which include digital image stabilization, ISO optimization and sensor-shift
The Optio VS20 will go on sale in the US in February and it is expected to retail for around $250.
