Lg just dropped us an email to let us know that their LG Optimus LTE has sold over 1 million units around the world, the LTE Android smartphone first went on sale in South Korea last October and LG sold 600,000 units of the device in three months in Korea.
The LG Optimus LGE is currently available in South Korea, the US, Japan and Canada and LG has just announced that they have now sold over 1 million Optimus LTE smartphones worldwide.
“With brisk sales for a high-end smartphone, the Optimus LTE reaffirms LG’s leadership in mobile LTE technology,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “The combination of LTE connectivity with LG’s True HD IPS display has resonated with the public regarding the potential of LTE technology.”
As a reminder the LG Optimus LTE features a 4.5 inch IPS HD display which comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device is capable of displaying HD movies and content in 720p.
Other specifications on the LG Optimus LTE include a dual core 1.5GHz processor, an 8 megapixel camera which can record full HD video in 1080p, plus Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
